Driving through the neighborhood, we saw a white, fluffy dog and tried to pick it up due to the weather. It ran away several times any time we got within 10 feet. It seems to have a collar and was skiddish.

Looks to be a Great Pyrenees. I saw it from afar, seemed to have longer shaggy white fur, quite dirty as he/she was walking in the mud.
