Mini is a deer head Chihuahua, 18 years old (had her since I was 9) she has cataracts but still has good vision despite that. She’s 80% deaf and has gotten use to hand motions as the primary form of communication. She has had a couple seizures in the past couple years. She requires special medicine. Her mind is still sharp as a tack and she wouldn’t (or never has) left the yard or porch. Someone DEFINITELY took her out of my yard 9901 Pendleton Pike Lot 208, Indianapolis, IN 46236 (Lawrence) around 9:20AM on Sunday Morning 3-8-26.

Female small dog found on Carlton Way yesterday. No microchip or tags.

The animal is currently being held at the Speedway Street Department. The Street Department is located at 1390 N. Lynhurst Dr. Bring proof of ownership and a carrier (cat) or leash (dog) to Speedway Street Department to claim your pet.

The Street Dept. is open M-F 7:30am- 4:30pm and can be reached by calling 317-246-4141, ask for Rob or Jared.

For clarification, Speedway Animal Rescue and the town of Speedway are 2 entirely separate entities.
The animal will be held by the Town of Speedway for the required Marion County 4-day stray hold. If the animal is not claimed, SAR will pull only IF an approved foster can be found. If no foster steps up then the Town of Speedway will relinquish the animal to IACS since Speedway is in Marion County and does not hold onto animals beyond their 4-day stray hold.
