Hello everyone! I found this black cat in a state of malnutrition, skin and bones, matted and feces covered fur. She was across the street from Garfield Brewery. She was not feral so I picked her up and took her home, bathed her, shaved off all her matts, and she’s now drinking and eating very well. No open sores or respiratory issues, not even a single flea on her which was very odd. She is hit or miss with the litter box. We made her a soft spot in the bathroom near a litter box but she’s still sometimes pooping and peeing on the floor. I will foster this cat back to health but I cannot be permanently responsible for this stray. I just could not let her wander around in that state alone.
I have a feeling this is someone’s pet that got lost because she’s cuddly and craves being around people and being indoors. I work full time and have two indoor/outdoor cats already and need to find this girl a home. Proof of ownership is required!!
